Simon Mariani, 28, was hit by lightning last Tuesday at the Ballyowen Golf Course in Sussex County.

A Franklin Lakes man who was struck by lightning while golfing last week has died.
Simon Mariani, 28,
was hit by lightning last Tuesday
at the Ballyowen Golf Course in Sussex County.
He died Monday.
Mariani is being remembered as a driven and smart young man.
Funeral services will be held Friday in Franklin Lakes.
