        From Northport to Paris: Both Cow Harbor 10K winners heading to Olympics

        The organizer of the Cow Harbor race says while the race has hosted Olympians in the past, they’ve never had both winners go in the same year.

        The road to this year’s Olympics runs through Northport.
        Both winners of the most recent Great Cow Harbor 10K have qualified for this year’s Paris Olympics games.
        Clayton Young will run in the marathon, while Weini Kelati will participate in the 10,000-meter event.
        The organizer of the Cow Harbor race says while the race has hosted Olympians in the past, they’ve never had both winners go in the same year.
        And the duo aren’t the only ones — Leonard Korir, who came in third in the 2023 race, is also heading the Paris.
        Overall, officials say 11 previous champions have gone on to participate in the Olympics.
