A Florida man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for his role in a violent kidnapping in Danbury.

He was one of six people who pulled a husband and wife from their car, beat them, and bound them with duct tape.

Officials said the kidnapping was part of a plot to extort the couple's son, who is suspected of stealing millions in cryptocurrency.

All six suspects in the case were from Florida.
