September is National Hunger Action Month.
One in three households in Westchester County are at risk for hunger.
That's according to Feeding Westchester, the food bank that distributes much needed goods to nearly 300 partners such as soup kitchens, community organizations, schools and more.
Today is National Food Bank Day to coincide with Hunger Action Month. The goal is to increase hunger awareness, encourage giving and volunteerism.
In the past year, the organization distributed 23 million pounds of food throughout Westchester.
