A school bus crashed into scaffolding Friday afternoon in the Bronx.
The FDNY says it happened just before 12:30 p.m. on West 170 Street and Shakespeare Avenue.
Police say the driver was on his way to pick up kids from school when he suffered a medical episode. That is when they say he sideswiped a car that did have one person inside.
Both the driver and the person in the car were taken to area hospitals in stable condition with minor injuries, according to authorities.
Consolidated Bus Transit says no children were on the bus at the time of the crash.
The Department of Buildings says there was damage to the building and the area’s scaffolding.
There is no criminality suspected at this time.
