A final farewell was held today for Supervising Fire Marshal George Snyder Jr., a 53-year-old FDNY hero from Yonkers, who died in the line of duty.
A funeral was held at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan, honoring Snyder's service and sacrifice.
He suffered a cardiac episode after working last week, and his death is considered a line-of-duty death.
Snyder is survived by his mother and three sisters.
