        FDNY reports lithium-ion battery was present at the scene of a fire on Exterior Street

        Fire officials told News 12 the fire broke out at 12:35 a.m.

        According to the FDNY they responded to a call of smoke on the 5th floor of 575 Exterior St. The building is where the Hip Hop Museum is set to open.
        Fire officials told News 12 the fire broke out at 12:35 a.m. They have also reported that there was a lithium-ion battery present at the scene of the fire. However, it is unclear if that was the cause.
        The FDNY says no one was injured as a result of the fire. And the cause remains under investigation.
