        FDNY: Fire at Ditmas Avenue subway station under control

        The FDNY says the fire was in the electrical room at the station. No injuries were reported.

        An electrical fire at the Ditmas Avenue subway station in Borough Park was brought under control around 4:15 p.m., the FDNY says.
        It was first reported around 12:05 p.m. Witnesses say the fire broke out on the tracks and was raining down on the cars below. They said it was quite a hectic scene.
        “I’ve never seen anything like it – like a fire rain,” said witness Dwayne, who works at a nearby warehouse.
        The FDNY says the fire was in the electrical room at the station. No injuries were reported.
        The fire caused major delays along the F line during rush hour.
