The family and friends of a prominent Bridgeport attorney who was killed by an impaired driver are urging people to use common sense before getting behind the wheel this holiday season.
Peter Tsimbidaros, who was also a Greek community leader, died at 50 on New Year's Day 2020.
The hit-and-run driver convicted in connection with the killing said in court there was no excuse for what he did.
"We want people to be mindful during this holiday season that as they go out and celebrate with friends and family, that they do it in a safe manner...sometimes we make mistakes, and those mistakes can be devastating and life-ending, like it was in the case of Peter, who had his life tragically taken away at such a young age...because of a person who was driving while intoxicated," said Dennis Bradley, a friend of Tsimbidaros
Tsimbidaros' father told News 12 Connecticut his family remains heartbroken four years later.
