The family of a 10-year-old girl whose body was found in the trunk of a car in South Jersey is demanding answers after authorities charged her foster mother with murder.
Officials say Malayshia Allford disappeared from West Philadelphia. They believe she was last seen alive on Oct. 22.
Her body was found Wednesday night in the trunk of a car in Lindenwold. Prosecutors say surveillance video appears to show a body being removed from a Philadelphia home days before the girl was found.
Now, Allford's family is demanding accountability.
"I need everybody held accountable from the foster parents that was picked to take care of my niece," her uncle, Nafis Horne, said. "I want you held accountable. You're coming out; you're not answering questions. You're guilty to me."
Authorities charged Caprice Williams, Allford's foster mother, with murder. She is being held without bail.
Reports indicate Williams was employed as a teacher at a Philadelphia school. Her next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 23.
