A sharp cold front has ushered in a more fall-like weather air mass, and this will give us some chilly sunny days but cold, frosty nights ahead.

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze watch for tomorrow night into Friday morning. That's when low temperatures will fall back into the 30s, with a few areas well north seeing temperatures at or just below freezing.

In the meantime, the winds will stay brisk and make it feel cooler.

Temperatures by Thursday morning will fall into the lower to middle 40s. There could be a few areas of frost in the colder valleys.

Winds will stay brisk, coming out of the north 10-15 mph with gusts 20-25 mph.

Temperatures will be even colder Thursday night into Friday morning, with many areas coming close to freezing. A freeze watch has been issued for areas north of the Merritt Parkway. Bring the sensitive plants indoors or cover them. Also remember to wear the heavier coat and some layers for Friday morning.

Temperatures will eventually recover with highs in the 60s going into the weekend.

There may be more rain and wind heading our way over the weekend with a coastal storm. There is still some uncertainty regarding the weekend forecast and what impacts we see and feel here in Western CT, with a potential storm that will be developing off the Mid Atlantic coast Friday into Saturday.
