International Lego Day is nearly here, and one local community is celebrating the beloved building blocks in a big way.
Bricks & Minifigs Fairfield, located on Black Rock Turnpike, held an in-store scavenger hunt and operated a prize wheel for customers over the weekend.
"International Lego Day celebrates the original patent of the Lego Brick in 1958, and that brick is unchanged today. So a brick that was made in 1958 can be used with a brick that was made today, which is really amazing, and I think a testament to the strength of the Lego product and brand," says David Orr, co-owner of Bricks & Minifigs.
International LegoDay kicks off tomorrow and to celebrate, the store is also hosting a free "Bricks and Brews Trivia Night" at Elicit Brewing Co. in Fairfield.
This Lego resale store, one of only two in the state, has become a fan-favorite destination for both new and used Lego items.
