Plan to spend the weekend outside, as it is shaping up to be a great one all across the Hudson Valley.

        WHAT TO KNOW:

        • Isolated showers move through overnight but are done before daybreak Saturday. Expect mostly sunny skies with above average temps for the afternoon hours. Once the sun sets, it will be cool but still pleasant while clear skies are to be found above.
        • There will barely be any clouds around the region Sunday. Couple that with above average temperatures and a comfy breeze, and everyone should have a wonderful time being outside! Sunday night though has clouds increasing with rain on the way. Rain showers arrive closer to midnight with batches of rain around until early Monday morning. A cold front is on the way, and after it passes, a rush of cooler and drier air moves in.
        • Monday afternoon & Tuesday will be breezy with a noticeable crisp & cool feeling in the air. At night, the winds will back down, and the air will start to feel colder. Some spots could dip down into the low to mid 40s.
        • No showers are in sight after Monday morning, all the way through next weekend.

        WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE TROPICS:

There are FOUR systems being monitored by the National Hurricane Center:
        • KIRK is in the Central Atlantic Ocean and is forecast to move northward, in the open waters, and is a major hurricane. It doesn't pose a threat to any landmasses but may kick up some wave activity for Bermuda and portions of the East Coast of the US over the weekend.
        • Tropical Storm LESLIE could be a hurricane by Saturday morning at the latest. It is forecast to travel through the open waters of the Central Atlantic Ocean and doesn't pose a threat to any landmasses. It will be heading in a northwestwardly direction through mid-week next week.
        • The third disturbance is in the Western Caribbean Sea and has a 10-50% chance of development in the next 2-7 days as it moves eastward through the Gulf of Mexico slowly. It will bring tropical downpours to central and southern Florida over the course of the next several days.
        • The fourth disturbance is a tropical wave coming off the West Coast of Africa. It will move westward and has a 0-20% chance of development in the next 2-7 days.
