A former Farmingdale State College professor is accused of sexually assaulting a student in a campus parking lot, according to Suffolk County court documents.
Antoine Munfakh, 44, of Freeport, was arrested and charged with third-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
According to court complaints, the incident occurred on or around Oct. 15, in Commuter Lot 6.
Court documents state Munfakh forced the student to perform oral sex on him without her consent.
The complaint further states he groped the student's breast and used a lanyard around her neck to choke her, causing her to have trouble breathing.
The school is in touch with the victim and is making sure she has full access to all campus mental health resources and support services.
Munfakh pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The college confirmed that his employment ended in June 2025.
"Farmingdale State College takes all matters involving the health, safety, and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff with the utmost seriousness,” a Farmingdale State College spokesperson wrote in a statement.
The statement continued, “We are thankful for the partnership of the Suffolk County Police Department, who immediately alerted Farmingdale State College (FSC) University Police upon receiving the 911 call. FSC University Police swiftly responded to assist our student and provide immediate care.”
