The election today will decide who will become New Jersey's next governor, either Mikie Sherrill or Jack Ciattarelli.
Polls are open until 8 p.m.
Democrat, Mikie Sherrill, a congresswoman from Montclair and former Navy pilot has the endorsement from Gov. Phil Murphy.
Sherrill says her message is affordability, which she says has been threatened by the White House.
Republican, Jack Ciattarelli, a former state assemblyman and 2021 GOP nominee for governor is backed by President Donald Trump.
His campaign theme of "It's time" has promises that include lowering taxes and an all new school curriculum.
Jack Ciattarelli took part in early voting along with 1.2 million other New Jerseyans.
Mikie Sherrill will cast her ballot at Hillside Elementary School this morning.
