Elected officials in Hartford joined advocates to mark the second anniversary of the Dobbs decision Monday morning.
The Supreme Court ruling revoked the constitutional right to abortion for American citizens.
Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz highlighted the efforts made to maintain reproductive freedom and access to abortion care in Connecticut – while acknowledging cuts to care across the nation.
“We are here today as Connecticut leaders and as Connecticut policy makers to say that we are not going to back down against these attacks,” said Bysiewicz.
Bysiewicz also said the state will continue to protect the reproductive rights of Connecticut citizens.
