A fugitive from Edison was captured Thursday in Ohio after nearly a year on the run, according to the US Marshall’s Service.

Prosecutors say 36-year-old Dawn Burge stabbed a man during a domestic dispute last summer on Morgan Drive.

Investigators received information that she fled the state and was residing in Lorrain County, Ohio.

After conducting multiple interviews and pursuing leads, officials were able to locate and apprehend her at an establishment in Elyria.

Authorities say she was jailed and will be held pending extradition to New Jersey.
