Edison man convicted of murder, attempted murder in South Plainfield stabbings
An Edison man has been convicted of murder and attempted murder in a 2025 stabbing at a South Plainfield home that left one person dead and another injured, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.
Pablo Cicero, 48, was found guilty Oct. 7 following a four-week jury trial.
Prosecutors presented evidence that Cicero entered a home on Tooz Place on May 19, 2025, and fatally stabbed Brandon Andrews-Cruz, 38, of Raritan.
A 32-year-old woman who lived at the home was also stabbed and was treated at a hospital before being released.
In addition to murder and attempted murder, Cicero was convicted of home invasion burglary, two counts of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Cicero faces up to life in prison when he is sentenced on Jan. 22, 2027.
