An Eastport man is facing charges for robbing an Apple store and threatening a worker with a hammer Friday at the Smith Haven Mall, according to police.
Authorities say 32-year-old Joseph Zavesky cut security cables and stole two iPhone 15s. When an employee confronted him, he threatened him with the weapon before fleeing.
Police arrested Zavesky Sunday morning at a hotel in Bellport. He is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 7 in Central Islip.
