Early voting is underway in the District 11 special election. This is the race to fill the Congressional seat left vacant when Gov. Mikie Sherrill resigned to become governor.
A dozen candidates are vying for the spot, including 11 Democrats.

- Zach Beecher, an Army veteran and venture capitalist
- Jean-Louis Cauvin, an attorney and comedian
- Cammie Croft, a former White House deputy new media director
- Brendan Gill, an at-large Essex County commissioner
- Jeff Grayzel, deputy mayor of Morris Township
- Tom Malinowski, a former congressman representing District 7
- Analilia Mejia, co-executive director of the Center for Popular Democracy
- Justin Strickland, an Army veteran and Chatham Borough councilor
- Tanesha Way, former New Jersey lieutenant governor and secretary of state for NJ
- Ana Lee Williams, a corporate social responsibility and engagement manager
Republicans
- Joe Hathaway, the mayor of Randolph
The special election is set for Feb. 5. A special general election is set for April.
