Fourteen days of early voting for this year's general election for municipal offices will begin Monday, state officials say.
Most municipalities in Connecticut use a single location for early voting.
State officials say early voting makes it more convenient for people and encourages greater participation.
Early voting hours are as follows:
- Oct. 20. through Oct. 27: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Oct. 28: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Oct. 29: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Oct. 30: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Oct. 31 through Nov. 2: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
On Election Day, all polling places will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
State officials say they election officials in every community keep a record of every voter who has voted early to prevent them from voting early at any other location, submitting an absentee ballot, or voting on Election Day.
