Police are searching for two men who they say are responsible for a metal pipe and slashing attack in Soundview.
They say the March 29 assault began as an argument after the duo walked up to the 24-year-old man just after 3:30 a.m. near Westchester and Morrison avenues.
Authorities say one assailant struck the victim with a metal pipe, and the other slashed him in the abdomen with a sharp object. The men ran from the crime scene, traveling westbound on Westchester Avenue.
EMS took the 24-year-old to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he is expected to recover, according to police.
