Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Rich Hoffman says the month has been very dry with only .06 inches of rain. A coastal low near North Carolina will slowly move up the Eastern Seaboard. The difficult part of the forecast is tracking the placement of the heaviest rain. Some computer models keep it just offshore. As the storm gets closer, the threat of showers will increase from Wednesday afternoon into Thursday. There is a chance for some pockets of moderate to heavy rain. Along with the rain, we will have some gusty winds and blustery conditions into the weekend and threat of rip currents at the coast. There is a chance of minor coastal flooding during high tide times Thursday into Friday.
