Authorities in Hunterdon County removed dozens of animals from a residence near Sydney Road in Annandale as part of an ongoing animal cruelty investigation.
The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office executed a search warrant at the property, leading to the removal of 45 animals, 37 cats and eight dogs. Seven of the animals required immediate veterinary care.
Multiple local shelters and rescue organizations assisted in the operation, including Animal Services of Independence, Animal Control Solutions, Animal Alliance, Outcast Rescue, Tabby's Place and Somerset Regional Animal Shelter.
