50m agoA full inspection has found the Fire Island Inlet Bridge is still safe for travel, the state Department of Transportation says.
The results come after crews checked the bridge over the past four days.
An inspection was conducted after a charter boat captain reported seeing a piece of concrete fall from the bridge Sunday.
The DOT says the bridge will remain fully open.
