Police say a man was arrested in Milford for leaving two dogs in a hot car, resulting in one of the animal's death.

Officers say John Torres left the animals in the vehicle last Thursday while he went into a store.

The car was not running and the windows were rolled up at the time, according to police.

Torres is facing two counts of cruelty to animals.
