2h agoNumerous disabled and elderly tenants in Mount Eden say they are trapped in their homes due to an elevator outage.
Some tenants say they need to walk up nine flights of stairs to get to their apartment - and for some, that is not an option.
Caretakers of the disabled tenants tell News 12 that they feel as though they are being held hostage in their own home.
Wavecrest Management told News 12, "As of 3:45 p.m. on July 30, the elevator is back up and running. We'll be monitoring the system daily to ensure the issue is fully resolved."
