        A storm system will bring periods of rain after 6 p.m. Tuesday through 4 a.m. New Year’s Day.

        Here’s what you need to know:
        • It's cool, damp and breezy this morning. Temperatures are in the mid-50s. Showers tapering off around 6 a.m. Roads are wet with some large puddles in low lying and poor drainage areas.
        • Today will be partly to mostly sunny with mild temperatures and breezy conditions. Highs are in the mid to upper 50s.
        • The parade of storms continue into the start of the New Year. A storm system will bring periods of rain after 6 p.m. on Tuesday through 4 a.m. New Year's Day. Less than an inch of rain is possible. Some downpours possible between 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
        • Temperatures cool down this week to the 30s to 40s with plenty of sunshine.
        Today: Damp start, increasing sunshine, mild and breezy. Temperatures falling. Highs near 57.
        Tonight: Mostly clear, chilly with lighter winds. Lows near 45.
        Tuesday (NEW YEAR'S EVE): Partly sunny, still mild and less breezy. Steady rain in the afternoon, heavy at times. Highs near 53. Lows near 48.
        Wednesday (NEW YEAR'S DAY): Isolated showers early. Partly sunny and cooler. Highs near 49. Lows near 35.
        Thursday: Brighter, brisk and blustery. Highs near 38. Lows near 30.
        Friday: Mostly sunny with a cold breeze. Highs near 36. Lows near 26.
