Democrat Mondaire Jones is facing incumbent Mike Lawler in one of the most competitive House races in the region.
Jones was first elected to this seat in 2020 but was drawn out of the district two years later and left Washington after failing to win an open congressional seat in Manhattan.
The 17th Congressional District includes Rockland, Putnam, most of northern Westchester and parts of southern Dutchess counties. Republican incumbent Mike Lawler faces Democratic challenger Mondaire Jones.
Jones' campaign has focused on standing up for abortion rights, protecting Social Security and lowering the cost of prescription drugs.
