Well, time to talk about shopping. It is Cyber Monday and for those who want to skip the holiday lines and stores today is your day news. 12 New Jersey. Sarah Good is getting a look behind the scenes this morning and one of the busiest Cyber Monday retailers, Sarah, that's Amazon. Yes, that's right. And the deal just getting started this morning throughout the day, the National Retail Federation is expecting 70 million to get involved with Cyber Monday after the rest of the holiday deals and discounts. I'm here with Dr Cross and site leader at the Amazon Film Center and Wooland Park talking about how they get these packages right to your door. Drew. I mean, just tell us what's going on here today. Can you just tell us first what the station set up behind us? Yes, good morning, sir. Behind us. Our associate is doing what we call stow. So this is taking inventory that's come in and place it onto the shelf to make it available for our customers on amazon.com. And this is just one of the few steps around your facility to get it to the consumer. Correct. Correct. There is a hive of activity around us throughout the building. One of our processes after they put this in the inventory, if a customer likes what they see on amazon.com and makes that decision to purchase those items will then find a customer order and then we will do a different process of picking it and then packing it. Wow. I mean, it's definitely well run tell us, you know, what are you guys expecting from this day? Yes. So year over year growth as normal for us. But this is on record to be, or it's on pace to be our biggest day of the year and really excited team effort here. Absolutely. Your day news from New Jersey's Sarah Good is getting a look behind the scenes this morning that one of the busiest Cyber Monday retailers. Of course, Amazon the day of online deals is just getting started here. The Retail National Retail Federation expects 70 million to be a part of Cyber Monday work here at the Amazon Film Center and Woodland Park, taking a look and see step by step, how things will end up at some shoppers doorstep and here with a leader Drew across and he going to tell us little bit about how it runs. I mean, Drew just tell us a little bit about this facility. Good morning. Welcome. Happy to host you today. Thank you. So this is the same day fulfillment center, Amazon Robotics Fulfillment Center that caters to our customers in a 50 mile radius. And all of our products are the hottest products that one would have in the inventory of amazon.com. And when you purchase an item on our amazon.com website, it will get to your doorstep often within hours and definitely within 24 hours and these are all New Jersey residents that these packages are going to. That is correct. This facility caters to just the New Jersey market. However, a lot of our brother and sister sites in the area cater to New Jersey, New York and other states and just tell us, how did you get started with Cyber Monday? How's it going so far? It's a long process to prepare, but this incredible team has been working 24 7 to get us ready to get the inventory onto the shelves ready for the customers. And how much are you expecting the output today? So, thousands of packages today, which is normal for the site but definitely elevated volume on, on record to be or on pace to be our. Wow. And I mean, that's what you're hearing from everyone about how big Cyber Monday is and we're going to hear more about it throughout the morning, but you heard it here, it's going to be on pace to be one of their biggest days at Amazon. And we're hearing that across the board for holidays, you know, discounts and deals sales from Black Friday to Cyber Monday this year in Woodland Park. I'm Sarah. Good news. 12 New Jersey.

Good this morning is getting a look behind the scenes at one of the busiest retailers on this day. That is Amazon Sarah. That's absolutely right in the day of deals is just getting started here. Now, the National Retail Federation expects 70 million to take part in this day on Cyber Monday. We here at the a film center and w park hearing about how these packages might end up at your door and we're here with regional manager Smith Smith. I mean, just tell us what was the pre like coming to this day? Yeah, absolutely. So this is something we are so excited for. We plan for this all year round. It's really something special that we can do for our customers. So as you guys have seen kind of walking around today, there are hundreds of employees here who are making sure that all of your deliveries are fulfilled. You know, we have same day, this is the same day site. So everything here comes in just mere hours to your doorstep. So it is really something that we plan for all year round to make sure everything goes smoothly today and you're really putting a lot of businesses together in this facility. I mean, just tell us about the impact it's having on small businesses. I love, thank you for asking that question. You know, we really support small businesses. In fact, on Amazon, really fun fact, more than 60% of all sales come from independent sellers, most of which of course are small and medium sized businesses. And then here in the lovely State of New Jersey, over 20,000 independent sellers exist. And so again, mostly small and medium sized businesses. And when you go on Amazon and you want to see if you are supporting local, there's something called a small business badge. You will see that and that way, you know that your money is going directly to a small business. And that's amazing because those are some of the deals that we're going to see today. Exactly. And we have 35 different categories of deals today, millions and millions of products. So if you're looking for just about anything from, you know, electronics to beauty kitchenware, today is the day to go up there, some of those are going to be deals we're going to hear about later today. Yes, I'm here at the Amazon Film Center in Woodland Park and really the day just getting started, but it's been going all morning long here. Now it's one of the biggest projected days for Amazon and I'm here with regional manager Smith, who to talk to me a little bit about the process it will take for the package to get to your door. But I think so much. I mean, just tell us what's been going on. Where are we right here in the facility? Of course. Yes. Thank you guys for coming. We're so excited for today. We planned for this all year round. So where we're standing right now, it's something called the same day site. And what this means is all the magic happens under this roof. So that's everything from our pick pack and shin. So pick is when you know, you placed your order on amazon.com. And so through our technology here, there's a worker that picks it for you, then of course it gets packed, which is what it sounds like. The package gets nice and then from there it shipped. So all of that happens here. And the really cool part Sarah is that this can happen in just a couple of hours. And so that's what really people our customers love about same day is that you can get it same day or one day and there are tens of millions and millions of packages that are here that are available for the same day or next day. And for those at home watching us right now, that's what you're seeing. You're seeing actual Cyber Monday orders out, get place, we're saying the conveyor belt right above us, you know, with packages ready to go. Exactly. And so today we have tens of millions of deals, 35 categories. So everything from health care to beauty, to apparel. And so all of those items right now, as you said, are going here right behind us. Kind of hard to believe. This facility is one of 55 that we have the same day sites and they're in 100 and 20 metro areas. And so again, a lot of people today will go on Cyber Monday, get what they need to get with the hope that they get it in just a couple of hours and this is how it's all possible. Absolutely. And you know, for those who are at home, this is all New Jersey residents of these packages are going to in a 50 mile radius.
