Connecticut residents rushed out to retail spaces for Black Friday savings this year.
Despite the convenience of online shopping, many Connecticut residents told News 12 that they preferred to do their shopping in person. Local shoppers packed the SoNo Collection in Norwalk.
Mall officials expected up to four times the normal amount of foot traffic for the start of the holiday shopping season. The Better Business Bureau is advising shoppers to have a plan, check reviews and know the return policy and warranty information.
Some shoppers tell News 12 that Black Friday isn't just about finding the best deals - it's about making memories with their friends and family.
The mall says it'll have extended hours for the holidays-- as well as its fifth annual Selfies with Santa event.
