A horse was rescued after falling into the mud and water in a Bedminster pond on Friday afternoon.

Officials say animal rescuers from Somerset and Hunterdon County were called and rushed to the scene.

They used a pulley to hoist the horse out, then reigned it in and safely returned it to its owner.
