A person was found dead Saturday morning in Mount Vernon, according to authorities.

Police say the discovery was made near Eastchester and Mundy lanes.

Those who live in the area can expect a heavy police presence throughout the morning.

Authorities say police will also be on South 9th Avenue and South 11th Avenue.

The deceased individual has yet to be identified, and their cause of death is unclear.
