House fire in Woodland Park injures firefighter and resident, displaces 6
yesterdayA wildfire in Morris County that has burned 77 acres of land is now 90% contained as of Friday night, according to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.
Officials say that crews remain on the scene of the fire near Jacobs Road in Rockaway Township. They say that there have been no evacuations and no structures are in danger.

Jacobs Road remains closed while firefighters continue to fight the blaze.
Crews have been fighting the fire since Saturday. Officials say that because New Jersey has not seen any rain in 23 days, the ground is without any moisture.
“Probably 6 inches down, completely dry. So, with that the fire gets into the ground, makes it a lot harder for us,” fire official Todd Sacchiero said earlier on Tuesday morning.
Falling leaves add to the dry fuels. Officials say the winds will become a concern as they are expected to pick up Wednesday into Thursday.
No injuries have been reported.
