The Connecticut Appellate Court has ruled that the state Department of Agriculture can retain custody of Nancy Burton's 65 goats, seized from her Redding farm in 2021 due to allegations of animal cruelty.
Burton, known as the "Goat Lady," was sentenced to a 2-year rehabilitation program last month.
The court concluded the goats were likely neglected or treated cruelly by Burton.
