FORECAST: Record-breaking temperatures, record-low rainfall - it feels like November thus far is following in October's footsteps. Temperatures are on the rise and the next two days will bring 70-degree temperatures. The records for Bridgeport are 73 and 72, both set back in 2022.
The warmer air is surging northward now, and winds will be southerly to southwesterly. The last two days were cooler, but seasonable, and now temperatures are warming for the week. It won't stay quite as warm all the way through, but temperatures will still be in the 60s past Wednesday.
The weather stays dry as well, very minimal rain chances this week. There is the possibility for some rain Sunday, but that is several days away and things could change.
New in the Tropics: Tropical Storm Rafel formed this afternoon South of Jamaica. This storm is forecasted to strengthen to a Hurricane by tomorrow and possibly become a category 2 storm by Wednesday. The forecast track for this storm eventually leads it into the Gulf of Mexico by the weekend. It's still too early to tell what happens after this point and where that rain heads by the weekend.
