The Milford Arts Council (MAC) brought together three local bands Saturday afternoon for its Bluegrass and Roots Music Festival.
It featured Moonrise Cartel, a folk band from Black Rock, Trunk Band, a Connecticut-based band who for over 30 years have been the house band for the New Milford Flea Market, and Almost Olive, a string-duo from Massachusetts.
"It's not about going and following the band from bar to bar... It really is being curious about music and loving music and wanting to discover something new...The acoustics [here] are always amazing and I just can't think of any better way to experience live music," said Paige Miglio, executive director of Milford Arts Council.
