A fire early Wednesday morning destroyed Rocky’s Deli, a neighborhood favorite for decades.

The blaze consumed the building at Broadway and Walton Street, leaving behind nothing but charred debris.

No one was inside at the time, and there were no injuries.

For longtime customers and neighbors, the loss of the deli has hit hard.

Many are remembering it as a cornerstone of the community and a place they’d been coming to for years.

"They've been a staple here for the neighborhood for a really long time, and a blessing as well, because I've seen them look out for so many people," said Lynden, a longtime customer.
