Coffee drinkers across the country are feeling the pinch at checkout.

The Consumer Price Index shows coffee prices jumped more than 20% last month compared to August of last year.

It's the biggest year-over-year increase for coffee in decades.

Tariffs and extreme weather in major coffee-producing countries like Brazil and Vietnam contributed to the surge, according to the report.
