Academy Award-nominated actor Chris Sarandon is taking his popular podcast on the road.
He is hoping to fill the Sacred Heart University Community Theatre in Fairfield next week.
But this is a different performance from him than you may be used to.
His podcast, "Cooking By Heart," comes to the theatre Thursday at 7:30 p.m. when Sarandon welcomes guest Griffin Dunne.
It is now in its third season and has featured stars like chef Jacques Pépin.
"We opened the season with Rosanna Arquette, who's a Connecticut resident, and we've moved on through with chefs and actors," said Sarandon.
Sarandon worked in his father's restaurant when he was younger and knows the importance of food in all our lives.
"Our childhood memories are indelible and very often they are about food. They're about what our favorite foods were, not just about the food itself but really more about the stories and the people that were part of our lives at that time," said Sarandon.
Still to come at the Sacred Heart University Community Theatre is John Markus on April 12.
"Now John was the executive producer/show runner on 'The Cosby Show' and also 'The Larry Shandling show,'" said Sarandon.
Each celebrity guest also shares one of their favorite recipes in his podcasts.
