The Ulster County District Attorney’s Office has dropped charges against a man previously accused of possessing child exploitation material.
Alonzo Jordan was arrested on April 16, 2025, after New York State Police executed a search warrant at his home. They initially alleged that they found child exploitation videos during the search.
Jordan was charged with possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child.
The Ulster County District Attorney now says the charge has been dismissed in Kingston City Court.
“We are gratified that the State Police kept an open mind in its continuing investigation of this case and promptly disclosed to the DA’s Office that they did not find any electronic evidence to support the charge against Alonzo Jordan," says DA Emmanuel Nneji.
Nneji says the investigation remains ongoing.
