Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with some of these 4th of July events
It is Independence Day weekend and New Jersey is celebrating the United States’ 250th birthday.
Towns across the Garden State are holding special celebrations and events to mark the occasion.
Independence Day at Washington Crossing
  • Living history, reading of the Declaration of Independence, musket firing, brass band music and fireworks over the Delaware River.

Independence Day at Monmouth Battlefield
  • Commemorative living history programs and educational activities centered on the site's Revolutionary history.

  • Date/Time: July 4 at 4 p.m.
Revolution NJ Jubilee at Wallace House
  • A jubilee for the 250th anniversary at the Wallace House, which was built during the founding of the nation in 1776.
  • Location: Wallace House State Historic Site - 71 Somerset St., Somerville, New Jersey 8876
  • Date/Time: July 4 at 4 p.m.
Jersey City Festival & Fireworks
  • New Jersey's largest Independence Day celebration. The event features live music, over 100 local food trucks and vendors, carnival rides, and a major fireworks display over the Hudson River. Simultaneously, New York and New Jersey will host a tall ship flotilla.

Ocean 250: Declaration Reading

Bergen County NJ’s Star-Studded Spectacular
  • Fireworks, live music & family fun at Overpeck County Park on July 4th.

E Pluribus Unum Parade in Trenton
  • A celebration of independence and inclusion in the Capital City.
