Mostly cloudy and cooler with hazy sky improvements on the way

You should notice a slight improvement with air quality today, but it is going to be a mainly cloudy Wednesday with high temperatures only in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.
Smoke from Canadian wildfire smoke will improve through the afternoon, but some haze high up in the atmosphere may still be noticed into Thursday. Air quality is expected to be moderate over the next couple of days ahead of an amazing Long Island weekend of weather again!
FORECAST:
TODAY: Mostly cloudy with some hints of hazy sun. Air quality is expected to be a little better than yesterday, staying at moderate levels. Some haze above the clouds from Canadian wildfire smoke improves this afternoon. An isolated quick rain shower cannot completely be ruled out but expect a mostly dry day. Breezy at times. Highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. UV INDEX: 7 (high). BOATERS: No advisories, but the ocean is still a bit choppy and there will continue to be a moderate rip current risk at the south shore beaches.
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with an isolated shower. Lows near 66 degrees.
THURSDAY: A mix of sun and clouds in the morning, followed by more sun in the afternoon. Air quality is expected to stay moderate which is fine for most people. Highs around 80 degrees. Breezy at times. Lows near 62 degrees.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny. Low humidity. Highs around 80 degrees. Lows near 64 degrees.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs around 82 degrees. Lows near 66 degrees.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Highs around 84 degrees. Lows near 70 degrees.
