Police are searching for a man who stole more than $35,000 worth of wigs and hair products.
The burglary occurred early last Tuesday at The Hustle Wig on Dean Street in Crown Heights.
"It was definitely super shocking. You never think that this is going to happen to you in your area," said Gitty Cohen, co-founder and owner of The Hustle Wig.
Cohen runs the business with her high school best friend turned business partner Rivky Krinsky, who made the discovery last Tuesday.
"We came into work and started noticing that some things were out of place or missing," said Krinsky.
Krinsky said she looked at the business's surveillance video and discovered that the burglar had broken in not once but twice.
"He left with a bucket of stuff and the second time with a garbage bag," she said.
The Hustle Wig sells high-quality wigs made with human hair that are assembled on site for women who wear them for religious reasons or may be going through chemotherapy treatment.
Police said no arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
