A brushfire broke out at Marine Park golf course on Wednesday, marking the latest incident over the past week due to the drought.
Fire officials say they received a call at 9:45 a.m.
Three units and the brushfire unit – 20 firefighters in total – responded to the fire by hole 18 on the course near Mill Creek. The fire was contained quickly.
Fire officials on scene said they've been to the golf course several times recently due to the drought.
“Unfortunately with the many weeks of no rain this has become a common occurrence in this area," said Battalion 33 fire chief Brian Gomoka.
        No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
