Four people are wanted by police and are accused of stealing thousands of dollars from unsuspecting women across The Bronx.
Police say the first incident was on Sep. 6 when two people went up to a 73-year-old woman in Concourse, asked for directions, then gave her a paper with an unknown substance.
News 12 has been told $4,000 and jewelry worth over $1,700 was taken.
Five days later, also in Concourse, the duo asked a 50-year-old woman for cash for a lottery ticket cashout. They handed her a paper with an unknown substance and removed $3,000 from her bank account.
The woman later lost consciousness and was taken to the hospital.
About two weeks later, police say the pair used the same story on a 45-year-old woman in Harlem, then took a taxi to her home in The Bronx and took $3,000 from her.
Anyone who recognizes the four people is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
