A taxi driver in the Bronx is sharing his story with News 12 about the night he was shot by a passenger.
Eufelix Jiminian, a taxi driver for the past six years, says he has flashbacks of the May 3 incident every time he looks at his taxi, which remains littered with bullet holes.
Surveillance video shows a man enter his car that night. Jiminian says the passenger started to act strange. The passenger is then seen getting out of the moving car before shooting the car five times.
“All the drivers, make sure you have a camera inside the vehicle,” said Antonio Caberea, president of the state Federation of Taxi Drivers. “If you don’t have a camera, it is too difficult to recognize the guy.”
No arrests have been made at this time but there is currently a $3,000 reward for anyone who can help find the person responsible.
