DeWitt Clinton High School Principal Pierre Orbe has been named New York State’s High School Principal of the Year for transforming the once-troubled Bronx school.

Under Orbe’s leadership, graduation rates soared from 48% to 97%, with major improvements in college enrollment and readiness.

The award, presented by the School Administrators Association of New York State, recognizes his impact on academic success and school culture.

Students say Orbe’s values have shaped their outlook beyond the classroom.
