A Bronx mother says her 10-year-old daughter was assaulted on school grounds and proper action wasn't taken.

Reina Molina tells News 12 that her daughter, who attends KIPP Middle School, hasn’t returned to class for weeks after what happened.

"It's been going on for a couple of months. And I have been giving complaints in school, but nothing has been addressed,” said Molina.

Molina says that after multiple bullying complaints, things took a violent turn on May 31 when her daughter, Kassandraliz Rodriguez, was assaulted by two other students.

Photos shared with News 12 by Molina show a police report filed that same day and hospital records showing that her daughter was treated for a head injury.

"They hit me in my head here and here. And then I have black and blues everywhere on my body,” said Kassandraliz.

A KIPP spokesperson provided the following statement in response to the incident:

"We care deeply about the safety and well-being of our community and take these matters extremely seriously. Our social work team worked closely with the family to navigate the situation and ensure they were provided the support they needed, including the opportunity to stay in our school community, and we are disappointed they decided to leave our schools, but respect their decision to do what they think is best for their child."

Authorities say that at this time, no arrests have been made.
