The Bronx man accused of
attacking a congregant and a security guard
at a Manhattan synagogue has been charged with two counts of committing hate crimes, prosecutors say.
Prosecutors say Larry Montes attacked the two people and damaged synagogue property during a Shabbat service last Friday at Central Synagogue in Midtown.
The 46-year-old faces up to 40 years in prison when he is sentenced.
